whats honor and how do i get it

You can gain honor by successfully defending your cities, as well as making successful attacks. But it depends on the number of troops you have vs. what they have and how many survive. It is possible to be successful and lose honor, as well as fail but gain honor.

That aside, honor does nothing to improve your city or resources, it is merely a number that you can use as bragging rights.
